You stop.
No phone, no decisions, nobody needing anything. For most people that is the rarest hour of the week.
Warm water, for much longer than you expect.
The Water Halo runs over your head for far longer than any wash. It is the part nobody sees coming and everybody mentions after.
Where the day collects.
Head, neck and shoulders, worked slowly. If you spend your day at a screen or a steering wheel, that is where it ends up.
Someone else does the work.
You are not holding anything, reaching for anything or scrolling. You lie back and it happens to you.
And you are already here.
Level 3, in a centre you were coming to anyway. An hour, then straight back into your day with your hair done.

Long or thick hair takes a little more time and product, so it is $20 extra. Your therapist will tell you before anything starts.

A brass ring opens above you and warm water falls in fine threads across your scalp, over and over, for longer than you expect. It is the part people describe afterwards. Most stop describing anything at all while it is happening.

The foot bath
Settle in

Your feet go into a warm herbal bath while you fill in the form. It warms you through before anything else starts.
You change, lie back and close your eyes. From here you do not have to do a single thing.

Facial and cleanse

The massage
A mini facial, then a double cleanse worked slowly through the scalp with the product that suits your hair.
Warm water in fine threads, again and again.
Head, neck and shoulders, worked slowly. This is the part the ninety minutes gives you more of.
AND THEN
You are not
rushed out.
The hour does not end when the water stops. This is the part people forget to expect.
Dried and finished.
A proper blow dry before you leave.
Tea, and something chocolate.
You sit for a few minutes with a pot of tea and something sweet, while the rest of you catches up.
After-care, worked in
We finish with the products we use in the room, while your hair is still warm.
